String Automotive is a SaaS company providing business intelligence software to car dealerships

String created a new product category for the automotive industry that has resonated with hundreds of dealerships — the String Dealer Positioning System® (DPS). The DPS is a business intelligence dashboard that allows a dealership or agency to sell more efficiently by tracking leads, traffic, and sales data. It incorporates a recommendation engine to target buyers by demographic, ZIP, dealer marketshare, or other user-defined variables. I worked extensively with front and back-end developers and senior leadership to craft a patented user interface that streamlined complex functionality into an easy-to-use experience. The DPS is the growth product of the company and within two years was 50% of the String’s revenue.

iPad app allows healthcare providers to manage patient charts, labs, and imaging

I worked with senior management, designers, and front and back-end engineers to create an innovative time-line based interactive chart to help doctors manage a patient’s care. In addition to taking design lead on the app, I also worked with developers, UX teams, and designers on both our primary and partner websites, portals, and intake forms.

I developed the logo, user interface, website, and advertising for the iOS application The Big Picture.

I worked with engineering, senior management, and UX teams to create a Boston Globe responsive web and an iOS app to convert web users to print subscribers.

In my almost 12 years with Boston.com and The Boston Globe I collaborated with clients, internal stakeholders, engineering, and design groups. My responsibilities spanned the full gamut of design – from print to web, conception to finished output, working independently or with multi-disiplinary teams.
